HEFY Peru: After the Trip

 So...basically I don't think I need more words than: It was great and I miss it a lot.
I have attached a small portion of the pictures I took in hopes to give a small idea of how much fun I had...so ya...:) most are self-explanatory:)

HEFY Peru: Before the Trip

Well...I"m getting all packed:P
I have all of the essentials:

• Clothes
• Hygiene needs:P
• Money $$
• Camera
• Everything else that I am too lazy to say:P :)

The only thing that I am missing now is...
My courage to go:P
Don't get me wrong, I am really excited to go...
But the idea of me flying by myself and being in a different country...
Well let's just say it kind of freaks me out:P
but it will all be good once I get there and meet people right?!
Yes. That's my mindset.
That is how I am leaving UTAH,
I guess we shall see how I am once I get home right:)?

Graduation Take #2.

Well I graduated from high school this past week:) (:P)
My graduation day started out by signing yearbooks and eating food at UCAS and Seminary,
Then slowly the time approached when I would walk across the stage...
Actually, more slowly than you would think:P
The waiting persisted indefinitely until...TADA, I could finally at least sit down...
Then speeches, musical numbers and a lot more waiting.
Each person's name was read, their selected school and major, plus scholarships earned/received.
But you know...while the information was read, I observed each person would just stand awkwardly on the stage while they waited to receive their well deserved high school diploma.
I knew I didn't want to stand there awkwardly so I started to devise a plan.
As my time approached, my heart was pounding as I was raking my brain for something to do.
Unfortunately my time came too quickly and I robotically walked up the steps to the stage.
The lights were shining in my eyes as I looked out to the audience and then...
"Sydney Ward will attend..."
I had to do something different and fast, I thought. I did not want to be awkward and stand there!
Without even thinking about what I was doing, my hand shot up into the air while the other went to my hip and I did the classic hip-arm pose while smiling the smile that was given to me by my parents.
My heart raced as I held my pose for two seconds and I got a few laughs from the audience.
Everything went blank as my cheeks filled with a deep red and I continued across the stage to receive my diploma.
What had I just done?!
Feeling rather embarrassed as I walked past the administration I got a few high fives from my classmates as I returned to my seat, relieved that this moment had finally past.
The procession of 123 students came to an end. It was over.
The senior class president stood in front of us as we all stood and moved our tassels from the right to left...I was in a daze.
Had this really just happened? Had I finally completed the battle of following curriculum to earn a diploma?
I was in awe as I walked to the back of the ballroom to return my stoles and get my *real* diploma.
I saw my parents waving at me from the back as I finished sliding my diploma into its folder.
Pictures were taken, money and gifts were received from family and then I was leaving.
Hours later after a few post-graduation activities, I drove into the UCAS parking lot and into the AC for the last time...ever.
I knew what I had to do: I had to have fun and enjoy every second I could with my classmates, but how could I when I knew it was all over...?
Nevertheless, the activities happened, food was eaten, prizes were won, and people were hurt.
All night turned out to be what felt like a few short hours as high school officially wrapped up.
I will admit I cried. As hard as I tried not to cry, I couldn't resist and tears came in steady streams sliding down my face as reality slapped me in the face.
High school was over and there was nothing I could do about it.
The never ending roller coaster of life had started and the control man started it without my permission.
It was inevitable of course. It always was.
But where had the past 18 years of my life gone?? How did it already come to this?!
The only place to go from here though is forward. Forward into oblivion.
So while the ride is going, you might as well hold on tight to what you got and enjoy it.
Enjoy the wind, enjoy the ups and down, the spins and drops, everything.
Because what else can you do?

Prom 2014

So Prom was yesterday...:)
It was pretty fun:), not going to lie.
Our day was spent meeting up at the Tulip Festival,
Then walking around for a couple of hours,
looking at all of the perdy flowers and the inconsiderate fish!
Then Josh Johnson pulled out a HUGE thing of sandwiches and Myron had Soda,
We then sat in the shade and feasted on our picnic while enjoying the ambiance of flowers.
Me and Ryan stayed a little bit longer to talk, and by doing so: We got sunburned:P

Later after hair, make-up, and dress alterations (so annoying),
We made it to Myron's house for dinner:)
We chilled there for awhile waiting for 8 o'clock to roll around so we could leave
[[because we are obviously not going to show up on time:)]]

Slowly we made it to the dance and danced our little hearts out:)
Ok, well not really...we sat on the side and "people-watched" a whole lot and really only danced the slow songs haha.
But it was fun nonetheless.

Then after the dance we went to my house and talked for a long time.
Twas a lovely night, with a lovely boy:)

It sucks.
Way bad.
Haha, but no matter.

I am loving the weather.
I can just sit on my bed with the window wide open to let some fresh air into my bedroom,
without freezing my butt off:)
I can drive around with my windows down,
I can go to school without a jacket now,
I can start wearing other things besides pants,
((although I already wore skirts a lot before))
And the best thing:
I can get my "feel good" sunshine rays naturally,
versus using my "happy light" ((but it worked well when I used it during winter:)))

I still love cloudy days where the sun doesn't shine,
and the clouds make shapes across the sky as rain is released from them,
and the puddles form everywhere,
but every so often, the sun's bright light,
and clear blue skies, and warmth
can be quite comforting:)

Another thought I had today as I was walking across campus...
I have decided to change "grumpy day" soundtrack.
I usually listen to Pandora when I need fresh music,
and I started today off by listen to my hard music because I wasn't too happy.
But as I was starting to walk to my class,
I decided to make a "LDS Hymns of Worship" station.
Rather than making me remember all of the reasons why I was upset,
making me even more down and angry,
it made me think of things that actually matter.
It made me think of the Savior and how I can turn to him to comfort me,
It made me look around and see others as Children of God
and it made me happy:)

It is now my new favorite way to "de-tox" from things I don't need to worry about it.

Try it. It's great:)

haha. and the part that made me the happiest inside,
I was walking around the hallway with my headphones in,
and no one would have ever guessed that I was listening to church music:)

We went to the dance and partied it up like mad men and women!!!
I did get sick and threw up my dinner, but I was able to feel a bit better and dance a tad bit more.
Then came home:)

Yes....Yes I Do

School is now OFFICIALLY OUT.
Booyah.
My math class ended being curved so my C turned into a C+!!
I got to eat scones and play Irish Twister with the best people today!
[what a way to end a school year!]
I gotta hang out with My Senior Brother, we watched iRobot,
But then he left so I hung out with Manuel, Alex, and Randy!
Then these 4 13-14 year old boys were checking me out and taking pictures of me on the bus awkwardly.
AND I finally got my shifts figured out for work and by the end of this week and next week,
(without taxes being deducted) I will have received $221.
I feel quite happy at the moment:)
Today is just....One of those days:)

Oh Boy.

Found out I failed my Math Final. 110/200:(
I now will receive my first C ever.
I know that's hardly anything to complain about, but it's a big deal to me....
I got all of my papers turned in today,
My Senior Kid showed me what he looked like in Spandex....[Don't ask me why]
I found out that my Physics teacher must really like me or something 'cause he gave me full credit on assignment I didn't really finish.....(Creepy much? JK, He's cool)
I failed my History test too 'cause I was super stupid and I didn't study this weekend.
Instead of doing all of my homework Saturday I hung out with some lovely people:)
I get distracted very easily, and I am annoyed with a lot of people.
Me and Tressa decided that today was one of those, "I want to Kill the World" days!!!

So story of yesterday.

Here's some background:
His name is Mike.
He is one of those bad boy types who doesn't have a lot of friends.
Well I talk with him a lot and we talk on Facebook a lot.
Following me so far?
Well I got on Facebook yesterday and He asked for my number, so I gave it to him.
he started texting me and getting all cute.....I won't put the whole conversation in but here is a lot of it:

My glasses weren't stron enough I hope my eyes get better. Otherwise I can't look at cute girsl ;)
Oh yes because that is your favorite hobby;)
I practice every day in student success ;)

hectic day.

At lunch James offered to get me In 'n Out burger, 'cause I've never had it before.

Well. Woke up this morning remembering that I had a project in Physics due.
Luckily I had gotten up at 5:30 to do my hair, so I got out of bed and went to Fresh Market.
At 6 am.You'd be surprised how many people were shopping that early!!
But they didn't have my drink so I went to Heart's instead
and I bought a Mountain Dew Voltage. ((Yummy!!))
And I got my egg all prepared so after I was done drinking it, I could launch it.
But I slept in too late [7:20 to be exact] and I almost missed my bus as usual.
And once I got to school we watched a sad Holocaust movie then my egg cracked...:(
And the container holding the egg broke....which is a bad thing.
Anywho. Things got better after that.
But before he left I just tagged along and sluffed my 4th period class:) Muahaha.
He was sweet and bought me a Burger and a Shake:)
We called it our "Unofficial Date".
Then on the bus.......haha........
Amanda got mad at me so she hit my nose pretty hard and I have always had a sensitive nose so...
I got a bloody nose right at the beginning of the bus ride!!
No one had tissues or anything and when I used a tampon....it started to go down my throat :P!!
So I used my jacket....It got EVERYWHERE!!! and everyone was laughing at me!!
But it ended right before the bus pulled up.
But It was ALL over my face....:( so once again people were laughing.
And I needed to pick food up for Shelby anyway, so Tressa came with me and she watched the workers reaction when they saw all of the blood on my face:) It was Priceless!
then made a cake, Ate food, went to a baseball game, Just the Usual:)
Now I am procrastinating homework that I need to do.
Aren't I clever?
Plus I'm texting Riley and Git....Ya I sorta fail at this Homework thing:)
Oh well:)

Today's adventure:
I totally missed both of the buses today on the way to school.
I forgot to give Ethan his breakfast so when I went to go give it to him I took too long.
Darn.
So I had to drive myself to school.
I was only 25 minutes late to my first class.
Not bad right?
Well yes very bad especially when your classes are only 53 minutes long.
But when I walked in they were all laughing cause they were making up stories as to where I was.
They said I invested my money into someplace to get doubles....Whatever that means??
But it was nice 'cause when it was time to come home I got home SO much quicker than I normally do.
No need to wait for the bus today!!
And it was nice 'cause I took Ashley and Tressa along too,
Which they appreciated:)
It was quite an adventure...
haha, just 'cause I was yelling super loud in my car because this dumb train wouldn't move!!!
It stayed right in the way of the road for at least 5 minutes!!!!
SO annoying.
But eh, Whatever:):)

On another note,
Don't you just love those days when you just feel....Nothing.
People ask you what's wrong, But your response every time is the same.
"Oh it's nothing and I meant that." or "There's nothing. Why do you ask?"
Typical for us to have those kinds of days every once in a while huh?
Well today was one of those days.
But it didn't start out that way.
When I woke up, I had a wonderful surprise.
Rain.
It just makes me feel good on the inside and I love the smell:)
I could spend all day outside in the gloominess of the gray covering the sky.
I know a little strange huh?
But I love it.
Then walking across campus,
I found at least 50 things to laugh at, random, unsual things of course:)
I had to hold my laughter in because it would be random to see a person randomly laughing huh?
Then as the day progressed, Nothing really happened.
But it truly was another glorious day given to us:)

Utah County Academy of Sciences

Once upon a time,

There was this school.

UCAS.

It had one stinky hall,

150 sophmores,

150 juniors,

150 seniors.

No biggy.

--Oh wait!

They are ALL nerds:)

If you sat in our classes,

You would truely understand the meaning of what a Nerd is.

We prove a lot of the stereotypes.

We talk about video games,

Movies,

Politics,

comics,

EVERYTHING NERDY!!!

But,

 You just gotta love us.

We still got personality,

style,

Friends,

LIVES,

Problems,

but we got each other.

You basically know most of the kids at school,

everyone is nice,

no cliques,

not as much drama,

not as many rude people.

It's great.

I love it.

I wish all schools were like this one:):):):)

Oh yes,

So my adventures of yesterday...

My original plan was to take my normal 4:40 bus home,

So I could make it to Tanner and Sam's wrestling match.

But I was trying to be nice..

(Plus I was talking to Cameron)

And I waited for Kelton because we ride the same bus.

But you see,

In order to get from UCAS to the bus stop you need about 10ish minutes.

Well, We didn't end up leaving UCAS till about 4:30.

We were walking so fast!!

And right as we were almost to our bus stop,

The dear 811 bus was pulling away......

So, we ran and hopped on the 830 to catch the 850 later!

[And we grabbed all these pamphlet thingys telling the bus schedule]

We missed the 850,

but the next thing we know another 811 is pulling up!!

Huzzah!

We hopped on and we started playing Truth or Dare?

{Such an odd game to play....}

And we didn't end up getting to my bus stop till 5:45ish instead of the usual 5:10ish.

So I ran to my car in the rain and I sped over to the high school.

Sadly, I missed seeing Tanner wrestle:(

But Sabrina, Erik, and Breanne were there!!

So we finished watching JV,

When Erin and Maddie showed up!!

And Taylie too!!

It was just a party!

Then we all went over to JCW's and ate delicious Ice Cream as it was cold outside.

Then we came back and Watched Sam wrestle!!

Sadly.........he got pinned in 15 seconds:(:(:(:(

He was SO mad.....

But it was some adventure!!!

I miss AF a ton.....

But thanks for still being nice to be ol' jerk like me:)
