The Ups and...Well, Mostly the Ups:)

This week has pretty dang amazing!!!
This was me sadly on Wednesday at Young Women's...
I had been wearing a skirt that day and I was FREEZING!! So that night, I wore 1 hoodie and 2 jackets, plus sweats, fuzzy socks, and a beanie. I was also seriously considering wearing gloves.
Pretty lovely though:)

Then on Saturday we had family pictures after Sarah Ball's baptism:)
This isn't one of the professional ones we had taken,
This is one I stole from my mom's cell phone and I edited on Instagram!
(such an amazing app)
Don't we just look adorable:)
Can't wait to see the professional ones:)!

And lastly,
Today I officially earned my Young Womanhood Recognition medallion!!
(once again edited on Instagram)
I feel so happy that I finally got it considering I'm going to be 18 in a few weeks :P

Other than that, my week was relatively bland.
I guess I went to a funeral on Thursday and we laughed;)

life is still pretty fan-freaking-tastic:)

Questions

There are so many questions in the world.
Some are offensive, others aren't.
So where is the balance?
If you ask an offensive question, how do you take it back?
You can't.
If you ask a question and you don't get the correct answer, how do you get that?
You ask another question. (duh).
But differentiating between the two can be difficult.
If you don't know the person's past experiences, you don't know what could set them off.
If you don't know what that person is sensitive about, you may screw up there too.
And even if you know those two things about someone, it's still hard.
Especially if the information you are looking for involves offending them slightly.
But I guess you can't please everyone.
Everyone is different.
Everyone reacts differently to almost everything.
We all have different thoughts.
We all have different feelings.
And most importantly, we all have different pasts.

Meh. This is going to be hard.

Misjudging

It seems to be a very common mistake.
A LOT OF PEOPLE JUDGE.
Way too much.
We are all prejudice.
Whether you like it or not, you are.
I know I am...quite a lot.
But then the amazing thing happens where you find out the truth.
You see the person from a different perspective and you can't help but marvel at them.

Three times this week this has happened to me.
I didn't have too bad of an idea against these boys,
but when I found out the truth of their lives, I was shocked.

1. Work
2. School
3. Neighborhood

all different settings,
all different stories
all with the same result...Me, being changed at heart.

Fortunate.

Wow.
"I don't know why I just told you that."
was the most common phrase I heard at work last night.
When people open up to you for no reason at all, they always wonder why.
Being trustworthy is (to me) one of the best things you could be known for.
If you know you can be trusted, so many possibilities can be opened up to you.
If you are anything like me, having people be able to open up to you is such a good feeling.
Trying to help someone just makes your heart swell up with so much joy.
Being trusted with people's trials is such a blessing to me.
It gives you an opportunity to do some good in the world.
Even if it is something small such as listening when no one else will.

such a good feeling.

Sometimes...

sometimes people get mad at you.
sometimes people ignore you.
sometimes people make you sad.
sometimes people mess up.
sometimes people apologize.
sometimes they don't.
sometimes you want to scream.
sometimes you want to cry.
sometimes you want to disappear.
sometimes you want to beg.
sometimes the world beats you up.
sometimes the world throws a lot of hard things at you.
sometimes the world works with karma.
sometimes the world wants you to feel alone.

There are a lot of things that happen sometimes.

Not everything will work out.
Not everything will be happy.
Not everything will turn out the way you planned.
Not everything will be as you dreamed it to be.

This also goes for people.

Not everyone treats you the same.
Not everyone forgives the same.
Not everyone loves you the same.
Not everyone acts the same.

Mmm. Living life. Even if through the daily motions.
Yay!
