FAIL:)

So, I have obviously failed with my whole gratitude thing:)
I tried, but Life just got in the way...and here I am like 3 months (ish) later...
things have been quite interesting recently,
Friendships and relationships have changed,
both for good and bad.
But nonetheless, life must go on.
I am currently working on homework because my classes require a lot of me...even thought I am a silly girl only taking 9 credits and working full time and I still can't keep up...
I am trying really hard to do my homework of course because I am writing on my blog, and I am watching movies all night...yay:)

Anywho, thanks for your time:)

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 8

Day 8: Testimony

"I know that my Redeemer lives! What comfort this sweet sentence gives!"

Read: D&C 76:1-24
The Journey:
  • Do you have a written copy of your testimony of Christ--your Brother, your Friend, your Savior?
  • Write out what you believe. Write your gratitude to Him. Write an experience that has strengthened your testimony of Him.
  • Share your testimony.

"The basis of a true testimony starts with a belief in Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. In the Doctrine and Covenants it says, 'Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.' (D&C 88:63) To know the Father and the Son, we have journals of ancient prophets, the scriptures, that we can study. Then in prayer we ask our Heavenly Father if it's true."

Well, this concludes the Walk With Christ of 2014.
I hope that you've liked it as much as I have and you have come to a better understanding and appreciation and love for our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I hope you've felt the Holy Ghost as you've participated.
I've loved doing this right before conference and I hope we can all continue to build upon our testimonies this weekend and continue learning this lovely thing called The Gospel:)

Love you all:)

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 7

Day 7: Remember

"I urge you to find ways to recognize and remember God's kindness. You will be blessed as you remember what the Lord has done." -President Henry B. Eyring

Read: The story of Joshua crossing the river Jordan: Joshua 3 & 4
The Journey:
  • Gather twelve stones. Label each stone with a blessing you have recognized in your journey toward Christ.
  • Share these blessings with your family.
  • Write down how He has strengthened, enlightened, or comforted you.

"And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto the prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith."

Moroni 6:4

"How do I keep my covenant to always remember the Savior? When we partake of the sacrament, we promise to remember the Savior always. This means that we constantly look to His example and teachings to guide the choices we make. We put Him first in our lives and seek to know Him and follow His will. When we face trials, we look to Him for comfort and strength, Heavenly Father has promised that if we keep this covenant, we will always have His Spirit to be with us."

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 6

Day 6: Stand

"...I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand..."

Consider: Standing as a witness of Christ not only strengthens you, it strengthens those around you.
The Journey:
  • When you see the battle against sin raging, where do you see yourself in the fight?
  • In your role as a friend, a son, a daughter, in your church calling, do you give some, or do you give all?
  • Find a way to STRENGTHEN someone today.

"Standing obedient and strong on the doctrine of our God, we stand in holy places, for His doctrine is sacred and will not change in the social and political winds of our day. I declare, as did the Apostle Paul, 'Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, [behave] like men, [and] be strong."

Elder Robert D. Hales

"As we go about living from day to day, it is almost inevitable that our faith will be challenged. We may at times fine ourselves surrounded by others and yet STANDING in the minority or even STANDING alone concerning what is acceptable and what is not. Do we have the moral courage to STAND firm for our beliefs, even if by so doing we must STAND alone?"

President Thomas S. Monson

"May we ever be courageous and prepared to STAND for what we believe, and if we must STAND alone in the process, may we do so courageously, strengthened by the knowledge that in reality we are never alone when we stand with our Father in Heaven."

President Thomas S. Monson

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 5

Day 5: Change

"Come unto Jesus; He'll ever heed you. Though in the darkness you've gone astray. His love will find you and gently lead you from darkest night into day."

Consider: If we turn to the Savior and ask for help, we too can be healed and cleansed.
The Journey:
  • Identify a change that you would like to make in your own life. It could be something amiss in your family, or an individual weakness.
  • Write down a plan that will enable you to make that change.
  • Approach the Lord in prayer and ask for His help.

"Each of us has been given the power to change his or her life. As part of the Lord's great plan of happiness, we have individual agency to make decisions. We can decide to do better and to be better."

Presidnet James E. Faust

"Changes in the heart and soul occur as a result of planting and nourishing the seed (Alma 32:28). Scripture study, prayer, obedience, and service are key elements to building faith in Christ."

Ensign, Nov 1992, 28

3.31.2014

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 4

Day 4: Follow

"...whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same." -D&C 1:38

Read: Mosiah 2 and focus on verses 5-6, 1 Peter 2:21
The Journey:
  • What counsel do you remember from last General Conference? Print out your favorite talk(s).
  • Write down the counsel given and place it somewhere that you will see it often. How will following this counsel strengthen your testimony of Jesus Christ?
  • How will you apply that counsel to your life today?

"We must not, we cannot sink to the evils of the world-- to selfishness and sin, to hate and envy and backbiting, to the 'mean and beggarly' elements of life. You and I must walk on a higher plane. It may not be easy, but we can do it. Our great example is the Son of God whom we wish to follow."

President Gordon B. Hinckley

Day 4: Seek

"I'll seek the Lord early while in my youth, and He will help me to know the truth..."

Consider: Christ's question to Mary, "Whom seekest thou?"
The Journey:
  • Examine your life. What is your greatest need?
  • Set aside some time today to seek the Lord.
  • Find in Christ the answers you long for. Dare to reach a new level of understanding.

"Seek the real things not the artificial. Seek for everlasting truths, not the passing whim. Seek for the eternal things of God, not for that which is here today, gone tomorrow."

President Gordon B. Hinckley

3.30.2014

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 3

Day 3: Faith

"...All things are possible to him that believeth..."

Read: Mark 9:17-27
Consider: The father's statement, "Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Are there areas you wish for stronger faith?
The Journey:
  • Take time to identify and write down an area in which you feel challenged.
  • Take this challenge to the Lord. Plead your case in prayer. Ask for greater faith, then be still and listen to the promptings that will come.

3.28.2014

Walk With Christ 2014: Day 1

Day 1: Come

If you want to know who Christ is, "Come and See"

Consider: The fishermen left their nets to follow the Savior
The Journey:
  • Determine what fils your nets. Are everyday challenges (schoolwork, fears, busy schedule, anger) holding you back from developing a relationship with Christ?
  • Today, try to listen for the Savior's quiet invitation to "Come follow me."

3.13.2014

Free?

I have had this serious urge to just clean up everything.
Yesterday I went through my Facebook friends list and...
Tada!! I only have 84 friends on Facebook now,
and honestly, most of them are family:)

And the past few days, I've spent 8 or so hours decluttering my room.
I have a big trash bag just full of crap that I don't need/want anymore.
My closet is really empty now too.
I used to have 2 huge boxes full of crap...and now I don't have any boxes:)
I used to have things covering my desk and shelves,
but now they only have a few things here and there:)
Huzzah!!

I feel slightly free from so much crap.
as weird as it sounds, it's just nice:)

3.08.2014

Toxic

Toxic:
acting as or having the effect of a poison; poisonous: a toxic drug.
This could be anything.
People, things, places.

But if you so desire,
you can remove that toxin from your life.
If it tries to pry itself back into your life,
be strong and don't allow it to come creeping back in.

2.17.2014

Yes? No? Maybe?

Ugh.
Stress:

  • Friends
  • School
  • Family
  • Church
  • Work
Not Stress (sometimes):
  • Coding
  • Painting
  • Cleaning
  • Sleeping
  • Listening to Music
Lots of decisions to make this semester.
Switch jobs? Which school?
Forgive that person? Don't?
Pretend smile or show how I feel?
Sleep or Study?
Be mad or cry instead?
Give up or keep trying?
Care or turn into a heartless monster (more than I already am)?
^^Just to be a drama queen for a small moment:)

2.14.2014

Valentine's Day:)

Well,
Nothing special really happened..But I don't care:)
I took care of my family so my parent's could go have fun,
Most of the time I was at my house, blasting love songs, DANCING:)
My dog thought I was a little bit crazy:) haha.
I did a few small heart attacks for my family for their rooms
((Which took awhile to cut out:)))
//Aarron is making fun of my typing...I can't type now...Gah.
//still watching Frozen:) Fun stuff.
I then came over to Shawn's house and we are just chilling:)
//Frozen for the......16th/17th time? :)

I "found" a "quote" about Valentine's Day:)
On this Valentine's Day, if you don't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend, it doesn't matter. This holiday is about love. Love is all around you and it doesn't mean it has to be directed towards a single person. You love your dog, your friends, your family, so focus your attention and energy on them. And if you don't do that, focus on loving yourself. You have to live with yourself 24/7 so loving yourself is imperative. So on this Valentine's Day, don't wallow in self pity over that one person you don't have and focus your attention on the people that you do.
I like it:)
Enjoy your day of love:)
Love you all:)

“We are all failures- at least the best of us are.”

What Matters Most.
This Woman hit it dead on.
I love this girl so much:)
*********************************************
I am at school once again. I got done with that dumb English testing in 20 minutes.
Wow. It was so short and quite easy.
You all know. You have to take it too.
So this weekend has really gotten me thinking.
Not like a deep, this-is-going-to-change-my-life kind of thinking,
Just the usual. hmm-why-didn't-I-think-of-this-before type of thinking.
WHY DOES ANYTHING MATTER?!
Crushes move away or move on,
Some friends you will lose,
School is an absolute bore,
And Cell phones can be a BIG waste of time.
I was texting one of my friends, Fish. (nickname)
and I was asking him why he texts people.
He replied with a simple, "Because I like to have conversations."
In the back of my head I was thinking,
What the crap. If you want to have a conversation, TALK to them.
He simply texts a bunch of people to feel cool.
You don't have to base your life off of how many people you text and talk to.
It is SO not worth it.
You are worth so much more than the people that you talk to.
Same thing with friends.
Sure they are great in the moment but if you don't create bonds beyond texting,
You will never survive past high school.
It's just a fact of life.
Texting just drives me up the wall.
And since I got Shelby's old phone and it takes me forever to text on it,
I haven't been texting as much and let me tell you that it has saved me so much time.
I have been able to do so much more.
No back to the point of this post.
We are all just living our lives through high school pretending that everything is super Dandy,
When in most of our realities, IT'S NOT.
And Why poeple make such a big deal out of drama.....No Idea.
Ya, not I'm just rambling.
Hope you have a good day.
And life does matter, but you have to make sure you focus your time on your prioritys, not drama and wasteful things. Because frankly, it's not worth it.
That is all.

5.03.2012

when nothing goes right....go left

is it just me or does it seem like lately nothing has been going right?!
BAH HUMBUG!!!
So, I officially Lost, lost with a capital L, my Cell Phone.
[which includes all of the pictures I didn't put on the computer, contacts, sounds, everything]
Stupid girl pockets!! You are never deep enough to keep things safe.
And then you find out that all of these people you talk to during school are complete JERKS.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
******************************************************
But on the brightside....I got new glasses:):):)
pretty cute huh? haha:)
ya, what a dork of a face:)
Hehe, Well that is my good news!!
Oh yes and I most likely have a job for the summer!!
Come to me money, I WANT you!!!
**********************************
Oh yes, and an update about my post yesterday.
Things are better. I talked to that person today.
Things aren't 100%, but they are better than what they were.
I just need to learn how to hold my tongue.
Never again will I say that stuff.
Now wheres a shock collar when I need one;)
*******************************************************
AND one more thing.
Going on Walks at Highland Glenn Park is one of the best adventures ever.
Along with feeding the ducks and watching the sunset.
It is always a good way to release that terrible stress from the day.
It is one of the best things I have decided to do lately.
Cute huh:)
So if you are a very deprived child, and have never fed the ducks...
Go and do it this instant.
It may change your life:):):) Well actually, not really but who cares? Have a good day.

4.21.2012

Haha.

Ya.
I am going to complain for like.......this whole post.
It will be about nothing really.
Just me and stuff:)
Here it goes.
I hate seeing the guy you like go out with one of your friends.
It makes me sad when you see another guy you got your hopes up for make out with one of your REALLY good friends.
I hate it when that guy gets your hopes up, but ends up failing you.
I hate it when the one person you actually care about gets super sick [;)]
And It bugs me when nothing can seem to go right.
But hey!
Just like my blog is titled: Life Will Go On.
So there is nothing for me to complain about.
Not a single thing.
Complaining session: OVER.
Case Closed.
That's the last you will hear about that special boy....:S

Don't Believe It

"The harder the struggle, the more glorious the triumph."
Just please watch this video.
We watched it in Student Sucess and I almost cried.
Happy, inspirational tears, but still tears.

It is so sweet:)
You can believe what you want,
even if it's not the truth,
but no matter if it's true or not,
it still effects your life.
Please believe the good things.
When people "insult" you,
think about their personality.
Are they constantly saying this?
Am I the only one that gets told this by them?
If you analyze their personality,
You can uncover so many hidden triats about them.
If you discover they have a joking personality,
and they just so happen to "insult" you,
don't believe it, and move on.
You can be whatever you WANT to be,
You just can't be afraid to try new things.
Love You!!
I believe in you;)

2.03.2012

Self-Respect, Racism, Random.

Ok. One day I am going to do this:)

For a dance possibly??
Who's in?
Yessssss:):):):):):):):)

"A 50- something year old white woman arrived at her seat on a crowded flight and immediately didn't want the seat. The seat was next to a black man. Disgusted, the woman immediately summoned the flight attendant and demanded a new seat. The woman said "I cannot sit here next to this black man." The fight attendant said "Let me see if I can find another seat." After checking, the flight attendant returned and stated "Ma'am, there are no more seats in economy, but I will check with the captain and see if there is something in first class." About 10 minutes went by and the flight attendant returned and stated "The captain has confirmed that there are no more seats in economy, but there is one in first class. It is our company policy to never move a person from economy to first class, but being that it would be some sort of scandal to force a person to sit next to an UNPLEASANT person, the captain agreed to make the switch to first class." Before the woman could say anything, the attendant gestured to the black man and said, "Therefore sir, if you would so kindly retrieve your personal items, we would like to move you to the comfort of first class as the captain doesn't want you to sit next to an unpleasant person." Passengers in the seats nearby began to applause while some gave a standing ovation."
Pretty great huh?
Ya, I find random things on Facebook sometimes:)

Oh yes.
To ALL girls out there:
STOP worrying about your body.
And Stop reading stupid "glamour" magezines.
I was sitting on the bus one day and I saw an over weight woman,
She was reading the cosmopolition magezine.
Guess what was on the front?
Yep. This is the EXACT cover.
Do you know what I thought?
"Why on earth would you spend your time reading about/looking at things that make you feel bad?"
Granted I don't know her situation,
But c'mon.
Who really feels good about reading those things?????
No one last time I checked.
C'mon.
Please don't.
We are ALL daughter of a King.
Do you really think He would want us to be doing this to ourselves?
No.
We all struggle with it.
I do A TON!!!!
Trust me.
But we need to look past what the world wants us to see.
Thanks:)
Loves ya!!!!

Modesty

"Modesty is often talked of in terms of dress and apperance, but modesty encompasses much more than the outward appearance. It is a condition of the heart. It is an outward manifestation of an inner knowledge adn commitment. It is an expressiong that we understand our identity as daughters of God. It is an expression that we know what He expects us to do. It is a declaration of out covenant keeping. A question in the For the Strength of Youth bookelt really is the question each of us must consider: 'Am I living the way the Lord wants me to live?' When we truly know that we are daughters of God and have an understanding of our diving nature, it will be reflected in our countenance, our appearance, and our actions." ~ Elaine Dalton

"You are truly royal spirit daughters of Almighty God. You are princesses, destined to become queens. Your own wondrous story has already begun. your 'once upon a time' is now." ~Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Today in young womens,
We had such an amazing lesson.
The young mens President came and taught us a lesson.
He focused on Virtue.
He showed us a lot of videos and I almost cried--due to recent events.
He did an object lesson dealing with a cake.
It was a very beautiful cake and we all wanted to eat it.
To the young men, the cake is Us as Young Women.
He then proceeded to ask if anyone wanted a piece of cake.
One girls raised her hand and went to the front of the classroom.
Bro. Yeates continued to put a plastic glove on.
He dug his hand into the cake and smooshed it on a plate.
We were all surprised that he would treat such a pretty cake like that.
Then he cut a nice piece of cake out, making sure it looked perfect,
and set it on another plate.
"The young men only see the outward appearance," he explained,
"when you show the young men the inside of you,
which way would you like to present yourself?
The smooshed cake that is lacking virtue and control,
or the neatly laid out cake, showing the gospel in all that you do?"
All of us of course wanted to show ourselves neatly.
He talked about being respectful and the ture meaning of modesty.
Not only is it your dress and appearnce,
but your behaivor. They way you speak,
what you say,
What you do,
Everything.
He also brought up PDA.
Would you consider PDA an unmodest thing to do?
Yes, It is actually very unmodest.
He also showed us these pictures to go along with PDA:

NOT cute.

Cute.

Yes. Public Display of affection is NOT cute.
It was such a good lesson.
In the last five minutes,
the Young men joined us.
Then our Bishop spoke to us about what the young men learned.
They had learned how to treat a young women like a Queen.
By the Young Women President.
Such a good Fifth Sunday:)::):):)
I hope we can all be Modest.
Oh yes, and to make a personal Covenant of Virtue and Modesty with the Lord,
Brother Yeates gave each Young Women a floating Lantern.
And we are gonna let them go tonight at 6pm.
:)
Love you!!

Oh dear.....

The decisions we make in life not only affect you,
but affect those around you.
When making a life changing decision,
make sure you take in account EVERYONE in your life.
Not just the ones in the immediate decision.
Think of all of the gospel standards,
Think of your value to God,
Think of it ALL.

Remember that it is your life.
But,
Remember who gave it to you.
1 Nephi 16:2
And it came to pass that I said unto them that I knew that I had spoken hard things against the wicked, according to the truth; and the righteous have I justified, and testified that they should be lifted up at the last day; wherefore, the guilty taketh the truth to be hard, for it cutteth them to the very center.

Yup.
That tis all.
