Happy Halloween!!

Today was halloween:)
I really like Halloween, a lot.
I love seeing the excitement in children's eyes,
I love hearing the laughter as they run around collecting treats,
I love the creativity that fills their minds,
I love the decorations,
I love the costumes,
I love the make up,
I love Halloween:)
((minus the scary movies, I don't like those))

Figuring Yourself Out

Trying to discover who you are is hard.
You think you know until you have to prove it.
You think you know exactly who you are so you gain confidence.
But when you get too comfortable, you change.
Other people drive you crazy and it makes you change.
Things happen and you change.

I don't know.
I don't know who I am really...
I know what I like to do and who I like to be around,
but with the denial and rejection of some makes me hurt.
I need to start focusing on my school work anyway...
I've decided to start studying more and talking a lot less.
I'm tired of being ignored in my requests and attempts.
I've just decided to let things be and not try too much.
I still care about others a little too much,
but as my parents have said, I need to get my priorities straight.
So....

Families Can Be Together Forever

Families...dang...
Some of them can be so screwed up.
I've talked to many people about their sad family situations.
Dang...It just makes me feel terrible...
Just knowing they are going through something so hard like that...
Losing family,
Gaining members you hate.
Fighting,
Drugs,
Everything:(
Just sad...
But luckily, with the sealing power of the temple, we are able to be together through the eternities:)
So keep striving to keep yourself together and don't let your family bring you down.
Which is hard sometimes because it is so easy to be mad about it...
But trying is better than succumbing to your angry emotions...

Patience

Patience is what will help you out the most in life.
Patience through trials,
Patience with friends and family,
Patience with homework
Patience with jobs
Patience with sickness
you know...just ALL the patience:)

There is a time and a place to allow others to control you.

But,

Let's be honest, you like to be able to control yourself.
And you should be your own person.

When you get to a certain time in your life, you need to learn to make choices.

It's hard of course, but it's necessary.

If you allow someone else to make all of your decisions for you,

When will you ever learn?

I'm not saying asking for advice is a bad thing,

It can be a WONDERFUL thing.

But before you ask for advice, maybe you should contemplate your situation beforehand.

When you go to that trusted person,

lay out your thoughts and ideas for them, THEN after they understand,

THEN ask them what their opinion is.

It's also ok not to do what they say.

If you don't fully agree with it, take it into consideration, but do what you feel is right.
